Am I missing something with the whole VOIP thing?

Question:
I'm lookng at cheaper options for VOIP but don't see the point.
Am i mssing somethign when it comes to calling, our international calls are to India and Skype charge 10.1p, VoipCheap charge 6.5p but 0844 cals charge 3.0p per min. We also have an ntl line.
Is this a no-brainer or am i missing some advantages?!
Answers:
It's a no-brainer. PSTN can be cheaper (and clearer).
Answers:
Yes PSTN can be cheaper and clearer.
Though clearer depends on your broadband connection and provider and also the cheap call provider you are using as many route the calls over VoIP.
My calls are clearer than they were when I was using a BT landline now I'm using VoIP and many people have commented how much clearer the calls are.
For me VoIP is cheaper, as I no longer have a landline, so no £11 per month for that. I do however pay £2 per month and get 1200 minutes free to call UK, USA, AUS and a few other countries, and that £2 I pay isn't lost I can use it to pay for chargable destinations.
So for me VoIP is a no brainer.
But it's not always cheaper, you need to work out your calling patterns.
