Question:
Hello,
I have the following scenario that does not work:
- I need to create manual inspection lots for the stocks converted into quality inspection status at the moment of the stock loading before the roll-out the system;
- I've 2 different inspection types activated, one for goods receipt linked to inspection lot control '01 - Goods Receipt' and another one for stock conversion linked to inspection lot control '05 - Other Goods Receipt' - both are assigned to the materials in QM view;
- If I try to enter stock using either the movement type 503 or 563 the following error message is ocurring "Change the inspection stock of material XXX in QM only".
- If I deactivate the inspection types and then enter stock in quality inspection, then I cannot activate the inspection types again, because I need to reset the stock entered in quality inspection.
How can I solve this problem??? I need to create manual inspection lots for the quantity that in in quality inspection status???

Answer:
Load your QI stock first w/o QM activated. In the plant configuration settings, enter the inspection type to use for creation of new inspection lots. The field is on the tab labelled Insp. Lot Creation and the field is called InspTypeForInspStock. Check the HELP info on this field and it will explain it.
Once the stock is loaded, use QA08 to activate the inspection type used above in config. The stock in QI will have inspection lots generated.
