Question:
Does anyone know if it is possible to use transaction IP11 without having to create strategies and packages in Dev and transporting to QA and on to Prod. and if it is possible please tell me how or if there is some setting in customizing I need to change to allow this to happen.

HeinR thanks for your input. I have a couple of questions in relation to what you are telling me if you don't mind.
Firstly we are currently running version 3.1i of R3, is what you are proposing possible in our version?
Secondly my colleague who administers Authorisations tells me that he has not seen previously an authorisation role such as you have described could you tell me what profile this role belongs to?
Any other general info you might be able to give would be helpful also. I have found a maintenance view that allows me to update same tables as IP11 but this is having a short dump the view name is V_T351P_SP.

Hi Dave,
sorry, but im running on 46C, since release 46A the creation of
maintenace strategies is removed from customizing to the
meaintenance planning menu.
the authorisation roles are new to 46 too.
I don't know if you allowed to create m.strategies in the customizing
of your prod. system in 31I.
I've looked to teh view V_T351P in our 46c and couriosly if
I go return I get the dump too:
ABAP-Laufzeitfehler GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED
aufgetreten am 09.07.2003 um 11:59:48
at last have a look to the OSS notes 116873, 111097
at the moment no more ideas, because I have no 31I available.
