Inspection Lot Stock to reserves
Hi,
While performing UD we post material to reserves and sample usage. When I check the material document it shows movement type Q31 for reserves and 331 for sample usage.
It also appears on the accounting document.
Does this mean that we are scrapping in both the cases?
And if so how could we reduce the quantity posted to reserves?

Inventory postings for the various UD decision codes are set in SPRO under Quality Inspection > Inspection Lot Completion > Define inventory postings. The movements you quote are not the standard settings, so perhaps you need to enquire why they were changed, but if you need to have different postings for the various dispositions this is where to make that change.
