Question:
Hello,
I need connect test equipament (a electronic scales such as Mettler or Steinwald) in results records transaction (QE51N).
I found documentation about it in SAP MarketPlace. It´s possible to connect scales using functions modules (QINT function group) and RFC destination with the drivers bellow:
Dch_32.dll, Dchinet.ini, Steinwald.exe and Qmddedrv.exe.
This drivres aren´t supplied by SAP more.
Does anybody have experience with drivers ?

We have one micrometer, we bought a card from vendor and by connecting the card to the pc and open SAP QE51N screen, and put the cursor in the values screen then start the micrometer reording..once recorded the value automatics transfer to SAP and the cursor jump to next..is this what you looking for?

yes, thats one of the methods i worked with for bar coding solutions. the bar coding device software recognizes the screen and is accoplated to any ordinary PC or linked via RF to R/3 and when you do a reading or key in some data in the bar code device key pad data is passed to the R/3 transaction. you can either opt to confirm the data entered in the screen via the standard R/3 buttons, PC keyboard or device pad keystroke.
i never worked directly with scales interfaces though. what manufacturer are you using?

My problem is that I haven´t the pc driver for this equipment (Mettler-Tolledo). I will can to develop a Visual Basic program for this, but I don´t kow how work the interface between pc driver and sap function module.

In documentation for function modules of funtion group QINT is related a cenario with direct results reading from test equipment, via Remote Function Call (RFC), in transactions for results records.
I understood the functionalitys of functions modules, but I haven´t a pc driver for scale wich is called by RFC.
I will can to develop a Visual Basic program for this, but I don´t kow how work the interface between pc driver and sap function module.
