Anyone knows, about the usage of Sub Items in BOM? Which business sceanrio it is used? Thanks ..
Answer:
Sub-Items in a BOM are typically where reference designators are stored. In most cases we've used them for circuit boards to identify where a BOM component is to be inserted on the board.
For example we may say the Assembly needs a resistor to be insterted 3 times.

Item: 0145
Qty: 3
Sub-Items: 0001
Qty: 1
Reference Des: A1
Sub-Items: 0002
Qty: 1
Reference Des: A7
Sub-Items: 0001
Qty: 1
Reference Des: C12
