Question:
We will be creating some raw materials out of other raw materials, and then use them to produce finished goods. Only the lower level components will be inventoried. Is there an easy way to consume these when producing the finished goods, rather than having to produce the intermediate raw materials?

Sure, you can make the intermediate raw materials phantom (special procurement key 50 in the material master). When the order is created the lowest level raw materials will show as the items to be goods issued, while the intermediate ones will be greyed out. JLW
