Resource Related billing on actual quantity - No cost

Question:
Hi!
Have anyone succeeded to bill material consumption via resource related billing if the actual cost of the material is 0 (e.g non stock materials purchased to service order via free of charge PO)?
/Jim
Answer:
Jim,
Hmmm...
My guess is that the RRB process will not pick up this item since there is no cost value. And your DIP Profile sources will be configured to look for actual costs, for which there aren't any!!!!
I think the only way you will be able to resolve this is via user-exits.

Thanks for your answer!
We cannot currently make any developments. Therefore I think we have to go for the lousy 0,01 cost and skip the un-ticking of the invoice receipt flag in the PO. This will enable the resource related billing and it moves the problem to the financial department....

I would assume that this is the typical business requirement for FOC (Free-of-Charge) delivery where material is supplied free of charge but delivery costs are chargeable to bring this shipment to the warehouse. If this is the case, then there is definitely the solution which can be handled through MM module.

Why don't you check with sales department. The item category configuration may help.

Guest,
How often does this occur? If it is very infrequent, then you could simply remember to manually add a service material to the billing request (DMR)
