Question:
Hi
I have a work center of degasing i cant fix the base qty.for eg 100kg degaseing period is 2days.if the qty is 1000kg for that also degasing period is 2days.
This degaseing means after processing of material manufacturer is going to keep for 2days.this is irrespective of the qty.
Bcoz of this it is giveing the same date for delivary in sales order.when we availblity check.
can anyone help 2 come out of this situation.

Maintain GR processing as 2 days for that material, this will help u in solving the problem, provided there is no other operation, apart from that workcenter before delivery. If any other operation is there then u maintain a que time of 2 days for next operation.

I would prefer to maintain operation times, because they - and not the GR times - are used if order scheduling.
So the process will be:
Maintain in the work center:
- a standard value key with time as one of the parameters (v.gr. Time )
- a formula fixed, e.g., not depending on the operation or base quantity and using the parameter previously defined ( Formula = Time)
In the routing or recipe:
- create a phase having 48 hours as processing time.
- Then, every order will have 48 hours of degassing, irrespective of the quantity.

Why don't you create a scheduling formula key for the work center with the fixed value of 2 days. This will be considered when you are scheduling the order and it will not be based on the Operation quantity.

If that operation does not involve cost than you can also maintain float of 2 days after production in material master.
