Question:
Hello,
My client is a global company they buy and sell lot of finished products within company. In order make this work they create inter company Purchase orders (STO's) automatically using MRP. Also company loads forecast using planning strategy 40 (Planning with final assembly) which is consumed by customer sales orders.
The problem is STO's do not consumer PIR's. How Can STO's consume PIR's? We are on 4:0b version.

Hello,
To consume PIR's withinter company Purchase orders, try to change the datas of your Pir's in MD61 or MD62. Here you'll find a field called "consumption indicator for requirements planning". Select value as 3 (consume customer requmts, reserv., dependent requirement) instead of default 1 (consume customer requmts).
If it works, you can get this value by default by customizing default values for consumption type per reqt class for the requirement class 101 corresponding to requirement type VSF of strategy gr. 40 as 3 (instead of 1). the best way is to copy all these values not to modify standard customizing.
Don't forget to enter "3" in the MRP3 view mixed MRP indicator as 1.

I did change consumption indicator to '3' but it does not work. I do not fully under stand your comment:

Do you want me to set Mixed MRP indicator to '1'?
My issue is if plant 'A creates a STO for plant 'B' then for plant 'B' it is a requirement (just lke a sales order). So any PIR for plant 'B' should get consumed by this STO.

I try to config and make the consumption indicator defaulted in MD61, but it only work when we do MD61, but if the PIR is created via MC8E from SOP or MC90, it will not be defaulted.
Any ideas?
