Question:
Hi,
There was an incident wherein a fully served reservation order was changed and additional quantity was added to the served material. What should have been done was to create another RO. However, since there was no control as to not allow changes to the “served” RO, they were able to have this changed. Is there a way where we can have it "closed” or disallow changes?

I just found this out during my testing now -- if you set the deletion indicator of an RO item, then you won't be able to change the quantity and other details of that item. So, you can perform this task to close an RO or disallow changes on fully served ROs.
There is actually a transaction, MBVR, wherein you can mass set the deletion indicator of completed items, i.e. "final issue" indicator is set or entire quantity requested is withdrawn. However, you should be careful of this transaction for it deletes the entire RO from the database if all items can be, or already are flagged for deletion.
But is it possible to automatically set the deletion indicator of the RO item upon final issuance of the RO?

During goods issue maintenance, it is possible for you to activate this indicator. Secondly, once the full issuance is made, what has been done in our companies are to close the original document (such as Work Order) which will automatically close the related reservation.

During goods issue and transfer posting, I can only see the "Final Issue" indicator, but I don't see the Deletion indicator. It's not enough for us to set only the Final Issue indicator, since the quantity of the RO can still be changed. Is it possible to set the Deletion indicator once goods have been completely issued/transferred?
