Is there a way to create release strategies for MRP? If possible, how is this done and what config is necessary for this?

Answer:
Have not seen any. But there are plenty of MRP parameters or the Material master status to control Mrp. You could use the Material Master status (ex: NP - no planning) along with a program to automatically have that status change after a certain period.
The material status (basic view in the material master) tells you whether a material is subject to restrictions. You can restrict having MRP run on a material and configure the settings in detail in the IMG , however I do not seen this as a release code assigned to a person, like the PO release.

I have not heard of anything relating to the release strategy for MRP. Are you referring to how to block the material from MRP run? or you would like to block the MPR run PRs after planning run?.
