Question:
Hi SAP Gurus!
Is it possible to create a release strategy only for POs that will not automatically affect the RFQs?
It seems that whenever I create a release strategy for my POs, it is automatically reflected in the RFQ.
Also, is there an SAP report that lists the POs not yet released?

you could try setting a characteristic in the release strategy which is based on the document type. This way you can even control that only cerrtain purchasing document types are held while others are not subject to a release strategy.

thanks for your replies.
i deleted my old release strategy. now i created the one accdg to your specs, the document category. what happened was, the old release strategy that i created did not work anymore, of course. but the new one did not work either. now, i have no release strategies working. why is this? is there a way to correct this?

Hi Release,
You should have updated your release strategies instead of deleting the old ones. What you have to do now is to revert back to the original settings for your release strategies. Then create the new release characteristic called 'Purch.Doc.Cat.' and add it to your current release class. In your release strategies, make sure that you will update appropriate characteristics values to each and every release strategy via Transaction CL20N.
