Hi SAP Fans,
How do you disable the purchasing group field in me41? I have tried making it only displayed in the field selection for RFQ, but it doesnt seem to work. Is there another way to do this?

hi biboy,
you can goto the field settings for RFQ/Quotation; in that you can make purchasing group optional/reqd/display in the selection group "Administrative data, header".

go to spro>MM>Purchasing>RFQ/Quotatin>field selection for RFQ. In that U can make the filed selection for RFQs.

Try following path;
IMG - MM - Purchasing - RFQ / Quotation - Define Screen layout for document level.
Select ME41 Field selection, double click go to administrative data, header --> Select Purchase group as Opt. entry.

You cannot purchase any thing without purchasing group , that means you cannot disable the purchasing group field.........this is as per my thinking but if you are able to do that pls. let us know.........

i have tried doing that many times. but i still get the same result. i need to put a purchasing group.
i am trying to do this because i configured the system so that pgrp=cost center. so my mm users will still be able to see who is purchasing what and at what price. this makes it easier for them to monitor, on the mm side, who has exceeded its budget or something like that.
