Hi MMers,
Can anyone tell me how can we assign NON-BLANK to a characteristic value. e.g. in the release strategy when we do not want the system to consider the value of certain characteristic.
Any help would be much appreciated.

If this is the case, then do not include it into your characteristics.

I have to include the characteristic as one of the criteria as I have different release strategies and I can only use one release class.

Can you please elaborate it more.
From your problem it seems that you want that chracteristis shouls have a value then tick the check box 'entry required' in the characterstic 's properties.
or you can mark a characterstic value as the default value.
