MRP - qty in another company code
Hi experts,
Would like to seek for valuable input from you.
my client have 2 company codes which have their individual plant respectively. For certain reason being, basically both companies' system operation is done by same group of users.
company 1 will buy goods from company 2 & sell to customers. In company 2, there are MRP for production.
now, MM users in company 2 wish the MRP running take the stock in company 1 into account. Any suggestion on solving this ?
So far, we can only set MRP up to plant level but not company code level.
Any input is highly appreciated.

I believe it is correct that MRP can only be set up to plant level. In the first place, why isn't the structure such that One company code two plants?
Another alternative is you set up another plant under the company code and do a inter-company transfer...
