Question:
Hello SAP Guru's!
I am using MMSC to extend storage locations for a material.
Is there a transaction out there that lists many materials at one time that I could extend additional storage location to?
Any help is greatly appretiated!

Why dont you config Create Storage Location Automatically via OMB2 and OMB3 and OMJ8?
This will create the storage location segment of material master automatically if the material is moved the first time into a storage location.
You can define in which plant you will allow this and for which movement type.

Thank you for your reply.
I did check my 46c system in our Production and Development clients.
The settings for OMB2, OMB3, and OMJ8 are all set for the appropriate movement types / Plant combinations to extend Storage Location to the material master automatically.
What I did test & find is that for movement type 701, I have it set to automatically extend & create this SLOC relationship. So I tried transaction MI10 to Add a material found in a new SLOC.
When I try to post the transaction I receive error message NA M7006 "material XXX plant 0XXX Sloc XXXX does not exist".
Can you offer advice for this type of transaction?
Am I missing a Physical inventory piece of config to match the OM** transactions?

Answer:
No there is no OM** transaction for physical counts.
A physical count cannot create a storage location automatically as it can be done for movement 101 (goods receipt).
If you find stock during a physical count in a location the material has never been before, then you need to create the storage location view in your material master first.
This can be done via MMSC as well.
