Question:
hi all,
i am unable to set an output type in default for the PO's of one of our P.orgs. I have copied all the settings for type NEU and even created a key combination for the new output type 'zneu'. but still in default the PO is picking message type NEU and not ZNEU.
any help will be appreciated. Cheers!
Answer:
Use the same Key Combination for ZNEU as what you used for NEU, then set up the master data the same accordingly.

yes prasad, i have maintained the new message type 'zneu' in the message schema as well. i have even changed the step number of zneu to 10 and that of 'neu' to 20.
However, when i go to Messages in PO, NEU type is chosen as a default and not ZNEU.
should i create a new schema group altogehter? i dont think so.

Look at the condition record customization for your output type.

Try to customize Fine-Tuned Control: Purchase Order (Define message type PO) and assign print operation to message type.
and then create output - condition records PO (MN04).
