Question:
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to create multiple text types in the material master. Similar to the way VOTX works for other documents, I need to store unique text types on the sales text tab and Basic Data Text tab in the material. It appears as though it only allows translation to other launguages, not different text types.
Does anyone know how to do this?

you can use multiple text by maintaining text in material master view puchasing and Sales. But it only works at plant level which mean you have another plant to create material text

The sales text is not stored at plant level but at sales org. & dist channel level whereas the Purchase order text is maintained at client level.
Both these texts are not maintained at plant level.

I have tried all you've said but it wan not work when i tried to another plant it worked. can you tell me what should i do so i can use different material text for example sales text on same plant

What I have said is that the sales text & PO text can not be maintained at plant level.

Thank you for your response however in both the purchasing and the sales text you can only have one text type converted into multiple languages. I need 3 different text types( all in English) with a different text id so that I can extract certain ones in an abap pgm. This is possible with votx but is not material relevant. My question is, can I have multipel text id's all in English anywhere in the Material Master??

Description - basic data view - additional data
Basic data text - basic data view - additional data
Inspection text - basic data view - additional data
Internal comment - basic data view - additional data
Purchase order text
Sale text
Material memo - MRP4 view
