Question:
Hi,
We wish to warehouse management for finished goods storage. All finished goods are managed on pallets.
we have divided open area of warehouse into storage bins where we store multiple pallets in one bin...stacked over each other. One bin can contain pallets for different materials.
For one production order we received multiple pallets in the warehouse.
While putaway the first storage bin is decided manually by the warehouse person. and subsequently all the pallets for this production order are stored in the same bin.
Once the bin is completely occupied and still there exist pallets for same production order for putaway then warehouse person assigns the new bin for the next pallet and subsequently all the pallets for the production order are stored in the new bin.
so can we have a strategy where we can use combination of manual storage bin selection for the first pallet and automatic bin selection for the next pallets ?

Hello,
If the Warehouse worker selects the first bin, then you cannot have a such a combination for placement defined in the Stock Placement Strategy as part of Std SAP. Either you choose 1. Manual Placement or
2. Next Empty Bin Strategy.
But there are user exits available where you can define the placement strategy as per your requirement. See if it helps.
