Hi,
I'm from FImodule. In FI, there's a functionality called special periods wherein you can post adjustments even if regular year-end period already closed. Does the functionality mentioned applies to MM module? wherein you can also post MM transactions in those periods?
Please advise.

From the MM point of view, once running the month-end closing via Transaction MMPV, if the back posting to the previous period is enabled, then it is possible that you can post your stock movement to your previous period. However, if the period to which the stock movement posting is made, is at least two periods 'older' than the current period, then no MM posting can be permitted unless you re-open the closed period via Transaction MMPI. Besides, such posting will be also subject to the unlocking of period from CO side via Transaction OKP1. Nevertheless, if the material ledger is activated with the usage of 'standard price' pricing control, then when the period is closed, I do not think that you can post back to the closed period.

Answer:
I have that same query. We've already closed off period 12 (December) and now need to make an inventory adjustment in 2003. As such, we'd like to do the transaction in a special period 13 since we've already published our financial statements for period 12.
Has anyone figured out a way to post a transaction that relates to inventory in a special period??

After reading OSS note 11006, I have learnt that this is not possible.
