Dear all
Anybody know about the open period in Schedule margin key in MRP view I know that if we run MRP (MD02) and select "Create purchase req." = 2 system will create PR in open period, if not will generate to Plan order, but I don't know how system calculate open period, compare which MRP date or what.
please advise me.

Hi,
Usually, for internal production planning, there have been three parameters which will determine if PR or Planned Orders will be created during MRP running. They are Opening period which is defined in Scheduling Margin Key (MRP 2), in-house production time and GR processing time. The calculation will be -
Opening period In-house production time GR processing time
Opening Order start Order finish Availability
Date date date date
If Opening date < Planning date, then PR will be created.
