Question:
If I have a PO that is goods receipted, the reminder/expediter will not be generated. If I perform a mvt type 122 to return those goods to the vendor for replacement the PO is re-opened. The delivery date on the PO is by now probably some time in the past so when the expediter program is next run an output will be generated showing the long past deliverydate. This doesn't make sense to me. Has anyone modified the program to make it ignore PO lines with 122 transactions? Or how do you guys handle this? Any thoughts o this?

If the PO is reopened and delivery date is in the past then you really need to adjust the delivery date in the PO and not the reminder program code.
If you want exclude such POs with 122 movement from the reminders, then you probably know already the correct delivery date, why then not enter this valuable information into the PO, so that your planners can rely on the dates. If you do not have a new delivery date, then why should a reminder be blocked?
If you need the original delivery date for vendor evaluation, then this is covered by the statistival delviery date in the PO.

When you are using movement type 122 it will increase quantity in P.O. and will show outstanding. Logically date of delivery should be earlier one then only you will be able to get deviation between delivery date and actual receipt data. When you are rejecting ( 122 ) material it is fault of vendor so my suggestion will be donot change delivery date. Hope this will satisfy your query.
