Hai
Normally when we enter plant address ( in customisation) or vendor details when creating vendors ,We enter the postal code.
The system prompts that it can be of length 6 only . Obviously there is a validation for the length of the postal code to restict it to 6 digits.
Suppose we want to increase this length , what should be done.?

Answer:
It can be done in IMG > General setting > Set Countries > Set country-specific checks
But before you do that, you should really make sure that your change does not violate the rules for postal code in the desired country.
If there have been changes you will find them in OSS.
I often saw that people wanted a postal code change because the data load had numerous errors. But this was always due to wrong data entry in the legacy system which did not have such a postal code check.
