Hi,
I am unable to perform a goods issue using movement type "551". The error message I get is:
"The system did not find an account for this transaction. This means that the account determination for key CAGM GBB 4570 VNR 3100 is not maintained in MM Customizing (Valuation). "
I believe that to resolve this issue, I need to use transaction obyc, double click on "gbb" and make a new entry. For making a new entry, I have to input data in 5 fields. One of these fields is "General Modification". Could you please let me know what input should I make in this field?

Hi,
First of all, I would assume that with regard to Goods Issue for Scrapping with movement type, the transaction/event key shall be GBB/VNG instead of GBB/VNR. Anyhow, what you have to enter in the 'General Modification' is VNG.

Thank you for your reply. I saw the screen for transaction "omwn". For movement type 551, both VNG and VNR are there in the field called "account modification" However, for VNG, only the value update field is checked whereas for VNR, both value and quantity update are checked. Could you please let me know the significance of this? And, also the reason why one should be using VNG and not VNR in the "obyc" screen. Thanks!

I am sorry, I do not know how the simulation works or what is its purpose? Could you please let me have some inputs on this.
Also, if possible, could you please give me some inputs about the role played by concepts like valuation area, valuation class, valuation grouping code, account modifier, movement types, etc in account determination.
