SLED

Question:
Dear all,
we have enquired OSS on how ot overwrite the SLED during MIGO and the answer is that we can't do that. Is there anyway to do this(user exit or OSS notes that we can refer to) cos we do not want to de-activate the SLED and do it manually. Thanks.
Answer:
What do you mean by overwrite SLED?
Is your material batch managed?
Answer:
Dear Svetja,
I wanted to overwrite the expiry date suggested by the system during MIGO. For example, in mat master the material SLED is a year. Batch is created accordingly to date of production, eg 1-1-03. Let say the production didn't run accordingly and only run on 2-1-03 and therefore during mIGO we have to overwrite the expiry date to 2-1-04 but the system will always follow the mat master and will set it to 1-1-04.

Answer:
Overwrite the production date, not the SLED.
Then the SLED is recalculated based on the new entered production date, using the values for total shelf life from the material master.
(You have to use the check button in MIGO after you changed the production date to get the SLED recalculated).
I cant say if that works if one (or all) of the messages 12 004, 12 005 or 12 006 is set to attribute E for error.
Check the message attributes with transaction OCHS
A second way is to change the SLED in MSC2N before you do the MIGO
Answer:
Dear Svetja,
thanks for the reply but the problem is due to the large amount of workload, we do not have the luxury to change the batch/production date whenever this happens. Is there any way other than this? Any user exit or program that we can look into this?
Answer:
I guess your answer relates only to the second option, so why don't you use the first ?
Answer:
Regarding Shelf life dates: Svetja mentions a check button in MIGO - I can't find it. Where should I be looking for it? Our version is 4.6C.
The problem is that shelf life expiry dates are calculated automatically on goods receipt which is fine the first time, but is being overwritten every time the batch is sent to another plant via stock transfer. The check button should be the answer I think.
thanks for your suggestions,

Answer:
The CHECK button can be found in the application toolbar in MIGO.
The first button in application toolbar is SHOW OVERVIEW, then an empty page, then HOLD, then CHECK, then POST, then HELP.

Thanks Svetja,
the solution would appear to be to deactivate the automatic check,
then, when goods receipting, click the check button for normal goods receipts but not for stock transfer receipts. (Each uses movement type 101).
In my experience users make many mistakes when doing this type of procedure. Is there any setting where this can be automated? By delivery type or purchase order type?
cheers
