Question:
Hi,
We have some special movement types defined in WM so that when a production order is received it goes straight into stock rather than into an interim storage type(902). This works perfectly for items going into normal stock but it doesn't work if we set the material master to go into inspection stock. Do we need another special movement type defined to deal with this(ie Q stock) or does the original special movement need modification(or the third option being we cannot use special movements for booking into Q stock )

Just a small correction!
The special movement type which you talk about would move the stock from Interim Storage Type 901 (not 902) to your physical Storage Type.
I don't have the precise entry in mind to tell you, since I don't have a system in front of me, but I believe that it is done in Customizing Transaction OMLR. You just need to copy the entry which already exists and add stock category Q to your new entry, and it should work as you require.
