Question:
Hi freinds,
My client wants to use release procedure in goods movements. For example, before GI, requestor must submit request in system, then release procedure is triggerred. Only being released can the GI request be done in system.
I really have no idea how to realize this requirement. Maybe ABAP development can do it.
Are there someone have this kind of experience during implementation? I need your help. Tks very much in advance !

I do not know if such thing is possible.
But I like to give you my opinion on that.
First of all I would like to know if you want this for all kind of materials or only for some extremely expensive materials like gold or platinum?
If it is standard material which is stored in your warehouse, then I would start with the question: why do you have this material on stock?
Answer: because somebody needed it, means that either the MRP run created a requisition or someone entered the requisition manually.
If you have now a release procedure for the requisition, than it is already approved to order and keep the stock. So from my point of view it is not necessary to have a second approval when doing the goods issue.
With too much approvals, you really drive the people to not use SAP.
And think about, that most of the issues have already been done physically before somebody starts entering the GI into the system.
But it might be totally different and people could give different answers if the exact situation would be known.

I fully understand and agree with your option. But my situation is what our client want SAP do is to control the goods movements. They want to migrate their outside management control points into system and let SAP become their control system but not ERP system. So...
