Question:
hi .
i want to map the movement type 555 to a new gl account and cost center .
how do i do that , i have never mapped movement types before , so please go give me details .
can any one please help

Hi,
First of all, the mapping between movement type and transaction/event key should be made in Transaction OMWN. Then this related transaction/event key will be mapped with specific G/L account in Transaction OBYC. The mapping between G/L account and cost center will be done via Transaction OKB9.

Where in OKB9 we assign the G/L accounts to Cost centers?
I can only see the assignment between Cost Centers, Business Area and Profit Centers.
Is there any other place where we link G/L accounts to Cost Centers and Cost Centers to Profit Centers.

It is the 'Cost Element' field where you can enter your G/L account.

thank you very much for the response .
just to cross verify , for scrapping i have used gbb/vng as the transaction and event key in obyc .. i hope thats correct.
regarding okb9 , i did the setting for GL account to cost element through fs00 , and it seems to be working fine (i have not yet transported the requirement to production server ) . did i do the correct thing by using fs00 ??
