Question:
I have maintained source list and quota arrangement (btw vendor 1 and 2)for a material A.
I have a shortage for A, say 100 Pcs. MRP propose a PR, but in the PR system suggest vendor 1 (as fixed vendor) for the 100 Pcs.
Question: should the system suggest 2 PRs, one for vendor 1 and the other for vendor 2? Or the next time I have shortage for A, say 200 Pcs, then the system will suggest vendor 2, 200 Pcs?

Yes, this can be achievable if you are flagging 'Split Quota' indicator in the MRP Type of the material.

thanks for your reply. Which view do you refer to in the material master data? purchasing view (quota arr usage) or MRP 1 (MRP type)? Both place I can't find the "split quota" indicator.

Yes, this can be achievable if you are flagging 'Split Quota' indicator in the MRP Type of the material.
What I meant was that you should go to Transaction MM03 and define the MRP Type that you used for your material number record and then go to Transaction OMDQ where you can flag on the 'Split Quota' indicator for this MRP Type.

I must missout something. In tansaction OMDQ, there is no "split quota" indicator. I am using 4.7, some of the settings are:

My sincere apology for this misled information. The setting should be read in Lot-sizing procedure setting via Transaction OMI4.
