Hi,
Is there any way i can set an alternate release for POs.The scenario is explained below:
User1 releases all POs. But when he is on leave i want the release to automatically shift to User 2.
Giving both of them the same release code authorization is not viable as then any of them can release without the other person's knowledge.

It is possible. Allot a different release code to user2. Release prerequisites and release status for release codes for user1 and user2 have to be maintained identical with the same release strategy.

Could you please explain in detail. The following is the scenario. i have 3 users. User 3 can release if User 1 OR User 2 have released.
In addition once the PO is released by User 1 and User 3 OR User 2 and User 3, the system should allow GR and IR.
It would be highly appreciated if you can tell me how to set the release prereqs and status.

Assuming that you have three release codes P1,P2 and P3 and release indicators B and R for blocked & Released respectively.
In yr Release presrequisites , dont define any prerequisites. There should not be any tick mark in this screen.
In Release Statuses, define the following.( T= Tick an NT - No Tick)
P1 P2 P3 Release Indicator
NT NT NT B
NT NT T B
NT T NT B
NT T T R
T NT NT B
T NT T R
T T NT B
T T T R
If you save this setting and check yr Release simulation, you will get two optins for Final Release .. One is P1 and P3 and another is P2 and P3.

Thanks for your solution. However, i want P1 or P2 to release before P3 and no output generated or goods received until P3 releases it.
These criteria arent being met. Hope you can assist me further.

Thanks the release is working now. There released flag was mistakenly flagged in the Block indicator.
