Activating New Condition Table
Hi All,
I am facing following problem while creating new price determination process.
1. I am not able to see all the field in field catalog , while creating condition table. It shows only few fields available in field catalog. Any further activity has to be done to get all fields in field catalog into the condition table creation screen?
2. Using the existing available fields ,I have created a new condition table ( my own)
3. While maintaining the access sequence, i am not able to see the condition table i have created in step 2?
Please let me know the steps involved in activating the new condition table.
Thanks for the info
Raj

Raj
Hi All,
i am waiting for reply. Can someone throw more light on this point..
Thanks
Raj
Hi Rkiran
If you have generated the new table & saved it then you should be able to see it while creating the access seq.
Just check whether you have the authorisation for the created table ??
Just check the SU53
Thanx
Prasad
Hi Raj,
1. I am not able to see all the field in field catalog , while creating condition table. It shows only few fields available in field catalog. Any further activity has to be done to get all fields in field catalog into the condition table creation screen?
When you get access to the Condition Table, you will see two sets of columns - one is called Selected Fields (on the left hand side) which contained exactly what you will get for that table whereas the remaining column consists of all possible field names in the condition structure table (KOMP, for instance). As a result, I am not quite sure if you are talking about the left or the right column. If you referred to the right column, did you use 'Page Down' icon on your keyboard to view other fields below?.
3. While maintaining the access sequence, i am not able to see the condition table i have created in step 2?
Did you assign your newly created condition table to your access sequence? I am afraid this step was missing in your customizing. Check it out.
As the matter of fact, once the condition table is saved, it does mean that this does exist in your system and what you have to do is purely to assign it to your access sequence in Customizing and that's it. There is not any formal step to activate the table.

Hi HT & Prasad,
Thanks for the information..
Now i could see the new condition table while maintaining access sequence.
Hi HT,
I am talking about right side coulmn, which lists all fields available for selection. here i see only few fields from the list of fields available in " Extend Field catalog for condition tables". Anything else i have to check why all fields are not available for selection.
2. Also please let me know the importance of condition index? should i need to create condition index?
3. Once i create a condition table , say for purchase price and assign it to access sequence , how do i maintain condition records? should i also include price field in condition table?
Please clarify the above points..
Thanks
Raj
Hi Raj,

I would believe that you have got access to the Extended Field Catalogs for Condition Tables instead of maintaining the Condition Tables. If you click on 'Maintain the Condition Table' under 'Define Price Determination Process', then you can see that the second column is named as 'FieldCtlg'. BTW, how could you create your condition type? which condition table did you copy from? was it from Table 17?.
2. Also please let me know the importance of condition index? should i need to create condition index?
Not quite sure where you have seen it.
3. Once i create a condition table , say for purchase price and assign it to access sequence , how do i maintain condition records? should i also include price field in condition table?
You have to maintain the condition records so that the value maintained will be automatically defaulted.
Cheers,
HT

Hi HT,
1. Yes i am talking about the 'FieldCtlg' column in Maintain Condition Table under 'Define Price determination process'. I do not see all the fields here listed in 'Extend Field catalog for condition tables'.
I did not copy any condition type, i created my own price determination process, defined access sequence, created new condition table .
2. Configure condition index is in IMG under the 'conditions' . What is the purpose of it?
3. For example if i create a new condition table indicating " Material Number" and say " Material group" and assign it to access sequence and assign this access sequence to a new condition type (price) . Then where do i maintain condition records for the new condition table? Also since the new condition table has onl two fields "Material number" and "Material group", do i need to have price field also in condition table?
Thanks for you time.
Raj
Hi HT & All,
Do you have any additional info on queries i posted ? Please let me know..
Thanks
Raj
Hi Raj,
No, you are recommended to create the new table by copying the standard table of SAP.
2. Configure condition index is in IMG under the 'conditions' . What is the purpose of it?
The condition index settings are used to collectively change the time-dependent conditions.
The maintenance of condition records is made in Condition under Master Data of Purchasing.
Cheers,
HT
