Question:
While creating an outline agreement for a material and item category K , item text cannot be entered( it will in the display mode), for other than K-consignment , it is allowing me to enter item text, what could be the reason , can any body through a clue?

Try selecting 'Optional' checkbox for Texts in selection group 'Reference data, item' for field selection key PT2K.
The node is 'Define screen layout at document level' under purchasing --> contract.
