Hi,
Is it possible to create reservations manually for movement type 261.
I tried to create the reservation manually.But i am getting the error "Manual reservation for order category 30 not allowed ".Could anyone suggest me any solutions for the same.

Hi,
First of all pl tell me why do you want to make manual reservation for
order of category '30' i.e. maintenance orders.
Even SAP says it is not allowed as shown below:-
" Manual reservation for order category 30 not allowed
Message no. M7126
Diagnosis
You entered an order whose category only permits automatic reservations.
The following order categories do not allow manual reservations:
o 10 PP production order
o 20 network
o 30 maintenance order
o 40 batch order (process manufacturing)
o 50 inspection lot
System response
The system does not accept your specification. ".
You may make manual reservation with movement type '261' for orders of other category like internal controlling orders.

hi it is possible but if it's giving you a error then go to order category and check over there the manual is allowed or not

i wanted to have seperate reservation for materials consumed against a single order.If we attach 5 materials in a PM order it will create a single reservation for all the 5 materials attached.I dont want this to happen.Tahts why i am looking for the possibility of manual creation of reservation thru movement type 261.If its possible pls suggest .................

I cann't understand why do you need separate reservations for PM Order. If you change the standard setting and also create manual reservations, that will create duplication. Afterall, you can track reservation line items separately and you can also choose to do GI separately for each line item in reservation. If you want manual reservations, you'll have to plan issue via MvT 201.
