Question:
We are trying to figure out the best way to use SAP to track the requirements for an MSDS for a material. I have looked at the dangerous goods processing, and it seems too comples for what we need.
we want a simple way to say for a specific material and vendor, that an MSDS is required or not, and whether it has been received. I looked at the info records, but do not see anyway to tie this information into the info records.
What are you folks doing about SAP/MSDS?

We use Plant Specific Material Status MARC-MMSTA to alert users that an item requires an MSDS.

I would like to know wht is MSDC?
As far as i understand, u are requiring on certificate from vendor.
If this is correct u can use the field certificate on QM view to ask for it's receipt at every GR...
Let me know whether this solves ur problem..
