Setting up the lable printing in MM

Question:
Hi Champs
can someone tell me how to setup the lable printing in Inventory Management???
which output type i should be using ???
thanx for the help
Prasad
Answer:
For the Goods Reciept label we use WEE1. You also need to code each material master record general data (label type and label form) to coincide.
See the SAP Library writup entitled Set Label Output.

Answer:
Within the Material master General data / Plant Storage view you must set the Label Type to M7 and the Label Form to E1 in order to get the label to print for reciepts done for that material.
Check these other settings in IMG:
Material MAnagement>Inventory Management and Physical Inventory> Print control;
Set Label Printiout:
Assign form
assign label type
assign label form
number of copies
Materials Management>Inventory Management...>Output determaination
Maintain output types
Maintain conditions
Print parameters by plant storage location.
I did not do all these ativities, I havd another person working on it... I am typing this from documantation he provided so I may not be able to help you with details.
Let me know if you get it working or have more questions.

Answer:
Sorry for the slow response. I had to wait for my ABAPer to show me where these fields are coded on our label, just to see how we have it coded.
I am afraid I am not going to be much help on why this field does not print for you.
We are printing the Date Recieved which is from MKPF also, and it prints fine. ...
Date Rec'd: &MKPF-BUDAT&
SAP OSS has been helping us with other problems we are having with this labe, maybe they could resolve your problem?
