Question:
Hi Gurus,
When I carry out the transfer posting from material to material. Posting taking place but the stock updation takes place in Quality inspection instread of unrestricted use and the system do not allow the movement from quality inspectio to unrestricted use..
1) Can any guru tell the cause and how to bring it to unrestricted use stock...
2) What is to be done to effect the transfer directly in unrestricted use?

Answer:
I guess the inspection type for the material in the plant (for transfer posting I think it is 07) is active. The inspection type controls stock posting for the particular movement. It could have created an inspection lot. You need to make Usage decision and move the material from QI to unrestricted stock. Deactivate the Inspection type setting in material master, if you do not require it.
I could be wrong. I am suggesting based on limited info.
