Stock Requirement List (MRP) ---- Ver very Urgent
Hi,
I have seen the stock requirement list (MD04), and the system is not showing the Purchase Requisition, if created for Third party.
Can any one explain that, is it the SAP standard or it requires some customization or Bugs.
Thanks in Advance
can't believe that.
can you check if the PR is deleted?

This is true that System is not showing the requirment of third party Purchase requisition in MD04. You can also check this and let me know.
Thanks
Teena,
Your question regarding third party procurement on the stock requirements list is not possible.
A third party sales order doesn't have a requirement in the system but triggers an Purchase requisition directly.
You don't deliver from you own stock but create a purchase order that will be shipped directly to the customer.
Take a look into other MM-transactions if you want to monitor these Purchase orders.

Thanks Ronald Westdijk,
Yes, it is right that third party goods will go directly to Customer. The system is creating the Purchase requisition for third party. This purchase requisition is showing in list report of Purchase requisition, but not on stock requirement list (MD04).
If suppose i want to see the complete situation of material (stock, PO, PR, Reservation etc.), then MD04 is the best, which will show you all the documents.
But i can't understand why the system is not showing only the Third party PO.
The system is also showing the Purchase Requisition for Non-stock item, which are also not related to Inventory.
Thanks again for your reply
I suppose the system should not show the third party requiremens in MD04 as the PR/PO are generated for the SO. In SO document flow all these documents will be visible.
Teena, can you tell me how you are able to see non-stock items in MD04 when they don't have material code in first place.
Thanks

Thanks for reply.
I have a Non-stock material code (NLAG material type) for this.
Hi
As far as I am concerned a 3rd party req should appear on MD04.
This is very standard.
Can you check one thing for me...check in the sales order to see is there is a confirmed quantity in the schedule lines.
I suppose you could also check to see, if the customer you are selling to is not on credit hold.

Roos
Teena,
I replied you saturday telling you it cannot be viewed using MD04 because there is no 'link' between a 3rd party order and a requirement to your own Warehouse. Another reason is that transaction MD04 is only showing requirements to which you post a Goods Issue which you normally does not for a 3rd party order. A 3rd party sales order does not affect the stock level in your plant/Storage Location and there is no 'need' for the system to show you these orders in a Stock/requirements list.
I agree with you that this transaction is nice to work with but you have a problem regarding monitoring these kind of documents. You need to use one of the available reports in MM-Purchasing to monitor these PO's.

Hi Ronald
First of all, a 3rd party order can be delivered into your warehouse ('TAB' type sales order) or it can be delivered direct to the customer ('TAS' type sales order).
I agree that for a TAS sales order that the requirement will not show against MD04 but it should for a 'TAB' type order.
Teena - are you using a TAB or a TAS?

Roos
Hi,
logically Third party sales order should not create palnning file entry, as the requirements of mrp are purchase requistion or planned oreder but in the case of third party sales the pr is already created.that may be reason third party sales pr is not displayed in MD04
I have a similar problem, the sales order shows up in MD04. The purchase requisition number is in the sales order, but not in MD04. When I run MRP -- I receive a new purchase order for this sales order.
What is wrong?
We've read through the data relative to this message. Though the message is 3 years old, it is relevent today to what we're experiencing in version 5.0
However, we believe in testing this type of requisition was indeed displayed on MD04. If we are using the third party but delivering into the plant, both the sales order and the purchase requisition are displayed on the stock requirements list. If we are using the third party but delivering to the customer (as a drop ship), then we are not seeing either the sales order or the purchase requisition on the stock requirements list.
Is this standard functionality, not to see these documents on the stock requirements list? How do we advise the buyers, whose worklists will typically be generated by the stock requirements list (using the vendor number collective display) that they have third party drop-ship requisitions to convert to purchase orders?

Hi Becca656,
I would take my own decision to lock this topic as it has violated the basic rules. Please create the new thread.
Cheers,
