Material master cleanup
We want to clean up our material master.
Does anyone know of a way to identify materials that haven't been purchased before a specified date?
Once these are identified, what is the best way to eliminate these old materials?

There is only one way (I'm not sure it's the best one ), and it's called Archiving.
1.Flag the material for deletion (MM06).
2. Transaction SARA, object MM_MATNR. Here you must exec the first two steps .
The problem is that, before archive a material, you have to archive a lot of other objects (material movements, purchase orders, sales orders, inforecord, source list and so on). From SARA is possible to get the list of the preceding objects. MMREO050 (which is the first step in material archiving procedure) checks if a material can be deleted or not.
