conversion factor
in Material Master, the Base unit of measure is Each. Now I would like to maintain the conversion factor:
10,000,000 Each = 1 Each
but I can't. The maximum number of digit I can enter is 100,000.
how you goes about this?
I am sorry... little correction here.
It should be 10,000,000 Each = 1 Box
How??

Hi
Try 100,000 Each = 100 Box
another quesiton is let says good already exist in warehouse with EA as unit of measure already... can we still create and use the conversion factor in PO??
Hi
Try 100,000 Each = 100 Box
can somebody help???
In my material master, I have defined EA as Base unit of measure. Now I need to do the conversion as following:
10,000,000 EA = 1 Box
however, the maximum of conversion field is 5 digits only. I can enter 10,000 only.
Please help.
This just didn't work. I did the samething.
during PO creation, I entered 100 as Qty, BX as OUn, etc, hits Enter, then system will change the BX to EA automatically??
Why?
Hi
Try 100,000 Each = 100 Box
intresting calculations here
10,000,000 Each = 1 Box
why should then 100,000 Each = 100 Box, did I miss something in mathematics?
I think only way is to allow decimals for the unit Box and set the conversion then: 0,001 box equals to 10000 ea.
have u maintained the relationship between box and ea in the purchase order. u need to be more specific
check and confirm
All,
Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. Following is the detail:
EA used in material master as Base unit of measure. (1,000,000 EA is equal to 1 BOX.)
EA has been used in the past (Purchasing, GR and GI) and now we would like to use the conversion factor so that we can just enter 1 BOX instead of 1,000,000 EA during the GI process.
I tried to suggest them: 100 BOX = 10,000 EA. They rejected because 1 BOX is equal to 1,000,000 EA (which is correct).
But in the system, I can't do like:
Base UOM = EA
100 ZZ = 10,000 EA
1 BOX = 100 ZZ (ZZ can be any unit of measure, use for sustitution only)
Because system did not allowed us to do such conversion. Any conversion, the Alternate UOM must refer to the Base unit of measure directly.
Please advise.
Thanks.
