Transaction J1IA taking more time
We are on 4.0B and CIN 2.1B Version.
GR Process adopted by us for receiving materials in Mfg Plant is :
1. J1IA
2. MB01
3. J1IB
We find that J1IA consumes maximum time out of the total process time.
After analysing the J1IA programme, we have noted that the Programme accesses EKBE table to get PO-History for all the Items in the PO; and hence probably takes maximum time.
We have an option of doing MB01 first,...to be followed by J1IA....which may probably cut down the time. However we do not want to go for this option based on our previous experience that sometimes the Part-1 Entry does not take place, which results into hold-up of J1IB i.e. Part-2 Entry.
Can anyone advise how to reduce this J1IA time ( without change of process )?

Hi Mgk,
I had also faced similiar problem. But I changed process MB01, J1IA and JAIB which has saved substantial time. As if you do J1IA first and MB01 afterward you are referring P.O. twice. Instead I suggest you do first MB01 and then J1IA and J1IB.
Problem of PART I entry missing also I observed and noted that one when making G.R. plant was not entered. Hence I made plant default for user who was making MB01 and then couldnot face problem.
