Release on PO (stock transfer - UB)
Hi there,
I've got the following scenario: My release strategy is setup as follows: Document type (excluding UB); Purchasing group; Plant and Net Value. Now for the catch. When creating a UB order with freight conditions for an external vendor, I want this to go through the release procedure (if the whole order blocks, then that is also fine). How will I go about to accomplish this? Did any one of you had a similar situation?
Thanks,
Hein
Hello Hein, First of Alla you need enter on Transaction OMGS and try to
find out what´s the name of the CLASS you´re using in your release procedure, press the release grouo button.
The next step is to find out the names of your CHARACTERISTICS used so go to transaction CL02 and put the same Class you got from OMGS, try to find the characteristic who correspond to DOCUMENT TYPE, then finally
you need to add the entry UB on the value of CHARACTERISTIC. With this all the PO type UB follow under the estrategies you define on OMGS.
I hope this help.
Alex
Alex,
Thanks for the reply. I know that when I will enter doc type UB as a value for a characteristic, the po will block. Actually, if the UB order do not have freight, it do not have to block, but if it contains header/item conditions, it must be blocked (go through the release strategy).

Hein
Hi Hein,
Since the Purchasing Group was confirmed as part of your current PO Release Strategy, what you should do is first, include the UB Document Type in the PO Release Strategy and use a particular Purchasing Group to classify if a certain STO will be subject to Release Strategy or not. For instance, define Purchasing Group A as the Purchasing Group which will be in charge of transportation/freight for STO in the Release Strategy. For normal STO (without freight), then use another Purchasing Group which was not specified in the Release Strategy, then this STO will not be subject to Release Strategy. Otherwise, all STOs with Purchasing Group A will be subject to Release Strategy.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
HT
