Double unit of measure with WM
Hello all,
You are using double unit of measure for WM placements. Also our storage unit type is equal to our double unit of measure.
Example. We buy 20000 Kgs that corresponds to 200 Boxes - Alternative WM unit (1 Box = 100 Kgs). Our storage type that we are using is B1 that is equal to 1 Box. When you receive in MM and WM we have: 20000 Kgs = 200 Boxes = 200 B1.
Then we need always to measure the weight of the products and sometimes the weight is different. So, we need to change our total stock in Kgs but keep the same boxes and B1. For example if 1 box = 90 Kgs we need to perform the Mvt 102 of 2000 Kgs and keep 200 boxes and 200 B1, but when we perform the 102 we lost also 20 boxes and 20 B1. When we change the conversion 1 box = 90 Kgs we will have the following stock: 18000 Kgs = 200 Boxes = 180 B1 ???
How can we change also the storage unit type in order to have in our stock 18000 Kgs = 200 Boxes = 200 B1
Does anyone knows how to fix this problem? Can we change the storage unit of type?
Thanks in advance.
is this a batch managed material? are you using Product Units of
Measure (4.0b: SPRO > Log > Batch Mngmt > Prodct Qtty Mngmt > ... )?
where are you mantaining the ratio between KG's and BOX's, in material
or batch?

Hello Daniel,
We are maintaining the ratio between KGs and BOXs at the level of the material and batch using a specific characteristic linked to the class 023 (batches).
Thanks.
well i dont know if you will be able to solve this while using a 102 as the
system will always deplenish the proportional Product UoM (BOX's)
according with the ratio in your batch characteristic, when posting in KG's.
can you revert the initial 101 using MBST and post again with the correct
qtty and ratio? sorry i dont have any other solution...
