Hi All,
I have a small Query with regards to client Export :-
1> Can i perform a client Export/ Import across Cross-platforms ( e.g.
Source is NT & target is AIX ).
-- please explain me in brief.
2> if the Client size is greater than 100GB ,,.. what will be the KO,KT,KX
file sizes ?
3> if the client exported has multiple company codes? how do i get rid of the data pertaining to these company codes ?

check these SAP notes : 35415 / 70547 / 86535 ...these should answer your questions 1 & 2...
As for question no. 3 ....i think data archiving should do it...

Thanks for the OSS Notes.
Still i have a finky thought in my mind is the Client Export recommended for Production clients.
for eg:-
There is a productive System A( with client XXX) -> whose specific client is need to Export via Client Export to another System B( with client XXX).. so i this procedure recommended ...( bcoz its productive clients but with different data).
Secondly the notes doesnot mention clearly of Client Transport being OS/DB independant.
Can U please advise the same.
