BRBACKUP - Unable to init tape

Question:
any ideas on the message below, I've checked permissions and the init<sid>.sap files....
the tape drive is set to block 0 (using smit on AIX).

Have you tried a tar or cpio to the same tape device?
Also, have you checked the permissions of your brbackup file 4755 - ora<SID>:sapsys ?

problem now solved permission on rmt0.1 incorrect.
