Question:
hi all,
I am a functional consultant-FI . Right now I am into my first project. Two tables and a program have been created by us in the development server. Now the customer wants to release it to the production server.
I do not have any idea how to do this except that it has been developed as local object class.
I would appreciate if somebody could help me in understanding the concept of transportation of tables and programs and the object class also.
Pls. explain in steps as I am starter and not from technical background. Initially I take a little more time to understand .

Hi,
You will have a lot of problems with local objects.
...on SAP 3.1H I forced the TMS to transport local objects but it not worth the trouble.
So ... my advices:
1. step: fire your programmer because he have to know that local objects are only for training/experimenting.
2. step: kick the butt of your project leader for same reason.
3. step: create a new development class or ask the customer if you can use an existing one.
4. step: create the objects again in the new dev. class

Also suggest consultant READ the SAP Help documentation regarding change request and TMS. It is very clear and concise that even a configurator can follow it
