FILE_OFFLINE

Question:
Hi all!!
We have Oracle 8.1.7 and 4.6C on Windows NT.
When we call sapdba -check we have this message:
File g:\...\USER1I.DATA2 is offline and needs recovery. Needs recovery from 4459 to 4462 for thread 1 but no restore
We havent got archiving mode
What can we do?
All ideas and answer will be appreciated
Thanks in advanced
Answer:
if you are lucky, you have the for as your in your redo log directory.
Save them to folder x:\oracle\SID\saparch. You can get the numbers from the files with "more < file". If that are the for you need rename them to the filename supposed by recovery.
shutdown SAP, shutdown the database, start it again and do a media recovery.
If you have lost one of the redo log files you have no chance to recover.
