Question:
hi,
i want to change the 'object type' drop down menu in TA 'PP01_DISP' to show only 'Positions' and 'Org. Units'. also we want to hide some of the infotypes for selection on this screen when object type is selected.
is this possible through config? has anyone done this before?

I think you can do what you are asking but do not have access to a system until monday. What release are you on? That will make a difference.

According to my dealings with it you cannot limit it. You can limit what object codes can be maintained through the infotype but that drop down list will always remain the same.

Redman is right the list is generated from T778O- the object type table and shows its contents. If you are worried about someone maintaining an object they should be restricted from you could limit the authorizations with the PLOGI authorization object. They would still display the object list.
