Any benefits from using MCOD

Question:
We are planning to run several SAP Instances one one single server (W2K and MS SQL 2000).
I read note OSS 388638 regarding the possibility of using MCOD.
Are there any benefits for using MCOD for my setup?
Would it be better to run 1 MS SQL instance with several databases or Several MS SQL instances?

Answer to you question is ... it depends. If you have backend R/3 and various component systems like EBP, APO, CRM, etc. where consistency across all system is important, MCOD would help you with backup because you do a backup of one database and have all systems. On the other hand while applying support packs if it fails, you have to restore entire database.
So there are pros and cons to MCOD...
