SHD0 - Transaction and Screen variants
Has anyone used this piece of functionality in HR to hide fields etc.
What does the functionality allow you to do and is it useful in any way.
Any thoughts or ideas would be most grateful.

Online Manual for transaction SHD0 is quite detailed one. Path : SHD0 ==> Utilities ==> Online Manual (Ctrl + Shift + F12 ). We are using this functionality extensively in SAP HR - ASP (Application Service Provider) business in order to create customer specific layouts /variants / transactions.
